As part of our multi-year critical and precious metal generative exploration programs in Alaska, we offer a unique opportunity for experienced exploration geologists to join our dynamic team.

Job Summary

MDF Global is seeking an Exploration Geologist to manage early-stage exploration activities, including soil sampling, mapping, and geophysics. This role involves supervising safe, efficient, and high-quality soil sampling programs, geological mapping, and core drilling tasks with minimal supervision.

The position offers an immediate start with multiple projects across Alaska throughout the field season and ongoing opportunities within the organization.  This position has the potential to turn into a full-time salaried position at the end of the field season.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and assist with soil sampling using auger and hand tools.

• Conduct geological mapping.

• Maintain and manage exploration equipment.

• Prepare daily reports.

• Analyze samples using XRF and coordinate lab shipments.

• Assist in project setup and camp management.

• Provide support to operation and maintenance personnel.

• Ensure punctuality and regular attendance.

• Meet performance expectations set by management.

• Comply with company policies and regulations.

• Work safely and identify potential hazards.

• Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications and Skills Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree or higher in Geology.

• Must be a US citizen or have a US work Visa

• Hold a valid driver’s license.

• Experience with soil sampling.

• Experience in geological mapping.

• Understand safety rules, company policies, and regulations.

• Strong computer skills, including word processing and spreadsheets.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Self-starter and team player.

• Meet physical job demands.

• Willing to work in adverse weather conditions.

• Must be available for shift work, overtime, holidays, and weekends during the field season.
